QuickJack Certifications

Standards Behind the Lift

QuickJack portable vehicle lifts have been evaluated for conformity with applicable European machinery requirements and relevant harmonized safety standards.

Certification is more than a mark on the product. It involves product evaluation, testing, technical documentation, identification and conformity procedures intended to demonstrate that applicable requirements have been addressed.

Declaration of Conformity

Standards and Directives

QuickJack's Declaration of Conformity identifies the following directives and harmonized standards.

EU Directive

2006/42/EC

Machinery Directive governing essential health and safety requirements for machinery placed on the European market.

Vehicle Lifts

EN 1493:2010

Harmonized European standard addressing safety requirements applicable to vehicle lifts.

Machinery Safety

EN ISO 12100:2010

Safety of machinery standard addressing general principles for design and risk assessment.

RoHS

2011/65/EU

QuickJack's Declaration of Conformity also identifies the RoHS 2 Directive and EN IEC 63000:2018 technical documentation standard.

CE Conformity

What the CE Mark Represents

CE conformity indicates that applicable European requirements have been addressed before covered equipment is placed on the European market.

For QuickJack, the conformity process includes applicable machinery safety requirements, relevant harmonized standards, technical documentation and product identification and marking.

These requirements help establish a documented framework for evaluating the design and safety of the equipment, rather than relying solely on a manufacturer's own performance claims.

Independent Assessment

Notified Body Verification

QuickJack's Declaration of Conformity identifies CCQS Certification Services Ltd. as the Notified Body involved in EU type examination of a sample of the machinery.

The Declaration identifies CCQS as Notified Body number 1105 and references an EU type-examination certificate issued for the equipment.

Certificate: CE-MI-20210618-01-16-5A
Documentation

Conformity Goes Beyond Testing

Product conformity also requires documentation. Technical information supporting the equipment's conformity must be maintained, while products and applicable documentation must carry the appropriate identification and markings.

QuickJack's Declaration of Conformity identifies the manufacturer, authorized European representative, applicable equipment, directives, harmonized standards and Notified Body involved in the conformity assessment.

Together, this documentation provides a traceable record of the standards and conformity procedures applicable to the equipment identified in the declaration.

Certification applies to the equipment identified in the applicable documentation.

Refer to the Declaration of Conformity and documentation supplied with your specific QuickJack model for the directives, standards and certification information applicable to that equipment.
