General QuickJack Safety Warnings

Please read the QuickJack Setup and Operation Manual in its entirety before setting up, operating, servicing, or maintaining your QuickJack. Failure to follow the instructions and safety precautions may result in property damage, serious injury, or death. Make sure all operators read and understand the manual, and keep it available near the QuickJack for future reference.

Be Safe

QuickJack is designed and manufactured with safety in mind, but safe operation also depends on proper training, careful setup, regular inspection, and thoughtful use. Do not set up, operate, maintain, or repair a QuickJack without first reading and understanding the applicable instructions and safety labels.

Owner Responsibility

QuickJack owners are responsible for ensuring that the product is properly set up, operated, inspected, and maintained. All operators should be properly trained and familiar with the QuickJack before use.Owners and operators should:

  • Follow all setup, operation, safety, and maintenance instructions.

  • Make sure all components are installed and operating correctly before use.

  • Inspect the QuickJack regularly for damaged, worn, or missing components.

  • Use only approved replacement parts, attachments, and accessories.

  • Keep safety labels clean and visible.

  • Keep the Setup and Operation Manual readily available.

  • Never use the QuickJack if it cannot be operated safely.

Important QuickJack Safety Rules

Never exceed the rated lifting capacity of your QuickJack. Confirm that the vehicle's weight is within the capacity of your specific model and that the Lift Blocks can properly contact the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points.Always use QuickJack Lift Blocks. Never raise a vehicle directly on the QuickJack Frames without Lift Blocks. Position the blocks so they contact the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points.Position both Frames correctly before lifting. The Frames should be as parallel as the vehicle's lifting points allow, with both Lock Bars facing outward. The two Frames are not interchangeable.Never approach or work beneath an elevated vehicle until both Lock Bars are securely engaged. As an added precaution, always use auxiliary safety stands under the vehicle while it is elevated on the QuickJack.Do not drive over the QuickJack Frames, Hydraulic Hoses, Quick-Connect fittings, Power Unit, or other QuickJack components. Position hoses and electrical cables where vehicles and foot traffic will not cross them.Position the Power Unit and Pendant Control where the operator has an unobstructed view of both QuickJack Frames while raising or lowering the vehicle.Keep hands, feet, clothing, hair, jewelry, and other objects away from moving components and potential pinch points. The QuickJack mechanism presents pinch and crush hazards while moving.

Use a Safe Lifting Area

Use QuickJack on a dry, flat surface capable of supporting the weight of the vehicle without sinking, cracking, or moving. Do not use QuickJack on slippery or icy surfaces or on a surface with a slope greater than 3 degrees.Maintain adequate clearance around and above the vehicle. QuickJack's lifting geometry causes the vehicle to move toward the label end of the Frames as it rises. Depending on the model, this radial shift can range from approximately 11 to 15 inches, so adequate clearance must be provided before lifting.

Inspect Before Every Lift

Visually inspect your QuickJack before each use. Check the Frames, Lift Blocks, Lock Bars, Hydraulic Hoses, Quick-Connect fittings, electrical cables, Power Unit, and other components for damage, excessive wear, leaks, or missing parts.Do not use the QuickJack if damaged or missing components are found. Stop using the product until the condition has been corrected or the affected components have been replaced.Quick-Connect fittings should be cleaned with a clean rag and lubricated before every use. Contamination can interfere with proper sealing and may result in hydraulic leaks.

Never Raise Empty Frames

Only raise QuickJack Frames with a vehicle on them, except when following specific procedures in the Setup and Operation Manual that require otherwise, such as bleeding the Hydraulic Cylinders. QuickJack Frames are designed to operate with the weight of a vehicle on them and may become stuck in the raised position when raised without a load.

Always Use the Mechanical Locks

An elevated QuickJack must be securely engaged in a locking position before working on or around the vehicle. Never leave a vehicle elevated without the mechanical Lock Bars engaged. When the QuickJack is not in use, leave it either fully lowered or properly engaged in a locking position.

Current models covered by the Setup and Operation Manual include the 3500SLX, 6000TL, 6000TLX, 6000ELX, 8000TL, and 8000TLX, with rated lifting capacities ranging from 3,500 lbs. to 8,000 lbs.Keep your QuickJack model number, serial number, and date of manufacture available.
