First Time QuickJack Set Up Video
If you have any questions about setting up your brand new portable car lift, we recommend you watch our setup video first. There are a lot of first-time-use QuickJack videos on the internet, but this is the only video we can guarantee has 100% accurate information. After all, it comes right from the people who bring you QuickJack!
First things first. Your newly arrived QuickJack is one of the best garage investments you’ll ever make. Getting started involves a 30-minute setup (give or take), as well as an initial testing process that only needs to be done once. After that, there’s very little maintenance to fuss over, and we expect your QuickJack to last for many, many years of easy, reliable service.
When your car lift first arrives, you’re going to receive three boxes. The freight driver will bring them right to your doorstep. The rest is up to you! Make sure you have a clean space for the setup. Please also check that you have the following tools and resources to finish the job:
- Air supply
- 5 & 6 mm hex keys
- 11/16" wrench
- 22 mm wrench
- Adjustable wrench
- 3 quarts Automatic transmission fluid (ATF)
Before starting, check that you received a full car lift delivery. Look for (2) frame assemblies, (2) long and (2) short hoses, (8) rubber blocks, a package of fittings and accessories, (2) frame positioning handles, the instruction manual and the power unit that matches your order. With this checklist complete, you’re ready to start! Prepping the fittings, hoses and power unit is a cinch. Just follow the easy-to-read instructions in your manual! Please be sure you supply your own ATF, as QuickJack does not ship with a filled power unit or separate supply.
The second phase of setup requires a little more care and attention to detail, because you’re going to bleed the air out of the cylinders and ensure both frames lift evenly. For your convenience, we put together a setup video that walks you through the entire setup, from opening the boxes to pressurizing the hydraulic cylinders.
